Please use the scheduling links for your seasonal water turn on and shut off. If you own a non-winterized building or leave your house unattended for the winter, you should have the water shut off by the water company. Once scheduled, the Water Company will turn on/off the curbstop at the street and remove/install the water meter. The account will be charged $50.00 on the regular bill for turn on or turn off. Water company personnel will require access to the water meter.  Block Island Water Company does not winterize or open the plumbing inside the house. It is the property owner’s responsibility to hire a licensed professional to perform winterization.  Please reference our FAQ page insert link for plumber’s who provide service on Block Island.
